Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Registered Radiologic Technologist to support procedures in the Heart & Vascular Institute. You will assist physicians during invasive cardiology and radiology studies, maintain sterile technique, and ensure patient safety and comfort. The role includes on-call duties and variable shifts.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate's Degree (Radiologic Technology) with ARRT registration and an Illinois license, plus ACLS within one year. A sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology.
• Radiologic Technology field of study.
• Licensure/Certification: ARRT Registered in Radiography; IL State license.
• ACLS certification within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Administers contrast material per physician request and responds to allergic reactions.
• Under supervision of physicist or dosimetrist, performs duties.
• Assists with inventory and supplies.
• Verifies patient identity, diagnosis and treatment position.
• Documents accurately per policy and procedure.
• Explains procedures to patients and ensures comfort, safety and confidentiality.
• Performs essential Radiologic Technologist functions.
• On-call duties and variable shifts as needed.
• Cardiac Cath Lab: left/right heart cath, potential stenting, and vascular access.
• Hybrid peripheral work with vascular surgery (EVAR, TCAR, TEVAR).
