Responsibilities

• Administers contrast material as directed by physician and monitors for reactions.
• Under supervision of physicist or dosimetrist, performs essential radiologic functions.
• Assists with inventory and supplies management.
• Verifies patient identity, chart accuracy, and procedure details.
• Documents clinical information per policies and procedures.
• Instructs new staff when needed and supports patient care.
• Explains procedures to patients and ensures comfort, safety and confidentiality.
• Performs essential radiologic technologist duties and on-call or variable shifts as needed.
• Maintains sterile field during procedures and assists in cardiac cath lab procedures.
