Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Registered Radiologic Technologist to join the Heart & Vascular Institute. You will assist physicians in invasive cardiology and radiology procedures, ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging.

The role includes on-call duties and working within a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate holds an Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT certification, and an Illinois radiologic licensure, with ACLS training within 1 year.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• ARRT registration in Radiography is required.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Radiography (IEMA) is required.
• ACLS certification within 1 year is required.

Responsibilities

• Administers contrast material as requested by physician.
• Work under supervision of a physicist or dosimetrist.
• Assist with inventory and supplies.
• Verify patient identity and chart,
• Document procedures accurately.
• Explain procedures and ensure patient comfort and confidentiality.
• Perform on-call duties or variable shifts as needed.
• Cardiac Cath Lab procedures including left heart cath and related interventions.
