Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Registered Radiologic Technologist to support the Heart & Vessel Institute. You will assist physicians in invasive cardiology and radiology procedures, ensure patient safety, and manage supplies and documentation on a dynamic care team.

The role requires ARRT registration/eligibility, Illinois licensure, ACLS within 1 year, and strong patient-care skills. Sign-on bonus is available for this position.

Qualifications

• ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist required or eligible.
• Illinois radiologic technology licensure required.
• ACLS certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administers contrast material per physician request and monitors for hypersensitivity.
• Operate under supervision of physicist or dosimetrist and maintain safety.
• Assist with inventory and supplies management.
• Verify patient identity, chart, diagnosis, and treatment position.
• Record and communicate pertinent clinical information.
• Support training of new staff as needed.
• Explain procedures to patients, ensuring comfort and confidentiality.
• Perform essential radiologic technologist duties.
• On-call duties and variable shifts as needed.
