Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Registered Radiologic Technologist to join the Heart & Vascular Institute. The role supports invasive cardiology and radiology studies, working under supervision with a team to ensure patient care and procedural success.

Qualified candidates have an ARRT registered radiography credential, an Illinois radiologic license, ACLS within 1 year, and an Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field. A sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

Education level as listed: Associate’s Degree; Related Field; Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology.
Licensure includes ARRT Registered Radiography; Licensed Radiologic Technologist in Radiography (IEMA).
ACLS certification within 1 year per AHA.

Responsibilities

Administers contrast material per physician’s request via existing vascular access; recognizes hypersensitivity or allergic reactions.
Under direct supervision of a physicist or dosimetrist, all functions performed.
Assists with inventory/supplies.
Checks patient and chart identification, diagnosis, and treatment position.
Compiles pertinent clinical information (lab, pathology, etc.).
Assists in instruction of new staff as necessary.
Documents accurately and completely per policies.
Explains procedure to patient and provides care including comfort, safety and confidentiality.
Performs essential functions of Radiologic Technologist.
Performs on-call duties and/or variable shifts as assigned.
Work includes Cardiac Cath Lab procedures and other specialized tasks as listed.
