Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a Radiologic Technology professional to perform interventional radiology imaging with angiography and related equipment. You will produce high-quality images for radiologists and verify orders while maintaining patient safety and workflow efficiency.

The role requires graduation from an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program, ARRT RT(R) certification, CT license and CT-Interventional experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an A.M.A. approved Radiologic Technology program.
• AS degree required, BS degree preferred.
• Experience in hospital radiology department is desired; 1–2 years preferred; cardiovascular interventional experience preferred.
• Proficient in routine IR imaging techniques and good organizational and customer service skills.
• Connecticut State License and CPR Certification; ARRT RT(R) certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide variety of technical duties to ensure imaging procedures using angiography and other equipment.
• Produces high quality images for accurate physician interpretation.
• Verifies physician orders on requisitions before procedures.
• Ensures supplies needed for each procedure are available to maximize safety and efficiency.
• Maintains patient records using HIS, RIS, PACS and QA modules.
• Provides professional and respectful interaction with department staff and patients.
• Assists with room prep, restocking, and patient throughput.
• Greets patients and ensures safety during procedures; wears lead apron during fluoroscopy.
• Participates in teaching and ongoing learning opportunities.
