Job summary

Yale New Haven Health Services Corp. seeks a Radiologic Technologist specialized in Interventional Radiology to perform IR imaging under supervision of the Interventional Radiology Manager. You will set up angiographic equipment and ensure accurate documentation in RIS/HIS/PACS.

Responsibilities include ensuring available supplies, maintaining accurate records, and delivering compassionate patient care while observing safety protocols. This role is on site in New Haven.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program; AS degree required; BS degree preferred.
• Minimum 9 months experience as a Radiologic Technologist; hospital experience preferred; OR imaging experience preferred.
• Proficient in routine IR imaging techniques; good organizational and communication/customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide variety of technical duties using angiography and other equipment to produce IR images.
• Produces high quality images and verifies physician orders prior to proceeding.
• Ensures required supplies are available to maximize patient safety and service efficiency.
• Maintains patient records using HIS, RIS, PACS and QA modules; ensures cases are scheduled and completed in RIS.
• Maintains professional attitude and collaborates to maximize team effort and throughput.
• Delivers compassionate patient care with age-appropriate standards and safety.
• Adheres to safety measures; wears lead apron during fluoroscopy.
• Participates in teaching and learning opportunities to expand knowledge.
