Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist with CT scanning expertise to perform a variety of radiologic procedures at a technical level in Connecticut. The role carries responsibility for designated areas and requires patient interaction, accuracy in documentation, and adherence to ALARA standards.

Ideal candidates have an AMA-approved radiologic technology program, ARRT CT license, and 1–2 years of CT department experience. Connecticut license or eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Formal Radiologic Technology Training Program in an AMA-approved school.
• Must be ARRT registered; CT and ARRT credentials required.
• Connecticut state license in Radiologic Technology or eligible for licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients undergoing CT and diagnostic imaging exams.
• Instruct patients on procedure details and expectations.
• Maintain competency with multi-slice CT scanners for diverse patient populations.
• Prioritize patient flow including inpatients and ED cases; coordinate with other departments.
• Produce diagnostic-quality radiographs with proper technique and positioning.
• Complete documentation accurately and timely.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure excellent patient care.
• Operate equipment safely according to ALARA guidelines.
• Follow procedures on patient interactions and body mechanics.
• Support department operations and other duties as assigned.
