Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care North America is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to support physicians during interventional procedures at our Brooklyn, NY facility.

You will prepare the procedure room, stock supplies, assist with patient prep and transfer, operate C-Arm and fluoroscopy, maintain sterile technique, document procedures, ensure HIPAA compliance, and support CQI efforts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree desirable; and Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.
• Current ARRT Certification and/or State Licensure; Interventional Radiology certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and procedure room for radiology procedures in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Sets up stocks the procedure room with required supplies and interventional equipment.
• Explains procedures to patients and addresses questions.
• Prepares patient for surgical procedures by positioning, shaving and prepping.
• Transfers and transports patients to and from the procedure room.
• Acts as scrub assistant and administers fluoroscopy to visualize vessels while maintaining sterility.
• Complies with HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
• Inputs patient data into the C-Arm.
• Maintains medical records and CQI documentation; supports quality goals.
• Assists with inventory, ordering supplies and environmental maintenance.
