Job summary

Lehigh Valley Hospital - Pocono is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to perform sterile diagnostic and interventional radiographic procedures, manage contrast administration, and support radiologists in complex cases. The role requires procedural expertise and strict adherence to sterile technique in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualified candidates may receive a sign-on bonus. The position involves day shifts, with on-site work and rotating on-call responsibilities

Qualifications

• Technical School Diploma Radiology.
• RT - Registered Technologist Radiology - State of Pennsylvania.
• BLS certification PA within 90 Days.
• Ability to work in stressful situations.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff and patients.

Responsibilities

• Provides post procedure care to the patient (holding pressure, cleaning, suturing, bandaging).
• Produces diagnostic-quality images.
• Processes and prepares images for radiologist interpretation, labelled correctly.
• Assists physician during interventional procedures under fluoroscopy with sterile technique.
• Prepares and administers contrast under supervision of the Radiologist.
• Maintains sterile environment in IR lab and procedure rooms.
• Reports malfunctions to Clinical Engineering and Radiology Manager.
• Ensures correct patient information and documentation.
