Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform a wide range of diagnostic and neuronterventional radiologic procedures under physician orders. The role requires strong technical knowledge, teamwork with physicians, nurses and staff, and participation in training and research projects.

Key responsibilities include operating imaging/interventional equipment, ensuring image quality, inventory management, cross-training, and adherence to infection control and radiation

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology required.
• RAD/RT license and ART registration and BLS certificate required.
• 3-5 years related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access).

Responsibilities

• Technologist assists physicians and follows departmental guidelines and protocols in the performance of all diagnostic and interventional procedures. Follows infection control, sterile technique and contrast media protocols.
• Operates imaging and interventional equipment; evaluates image quality.
• Manages supply inventory, expiration and stocking; maintains monthly checks.
• Cooperates with shift coverage and on-call responsibilities.
• Schedules and documents exams (imaging, PACS) and maintains accurate records.
• Interacts with patients, explains procedures clearly and maintains safety.
• Assists with cross-training and orientation of staff and students.
• May assist with tasks that facilitate unit operations.
• Adheres to hospital policies and radiation safety regulations.
• Able to wear lead apron and stand for long periods; multitask and work efficiently.
