Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is actively seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic and interventional procedures and ensure high-quality patient care across age groups. You will follow established imaging protocols, maintain radiation safety, and support education for students and junior staff.

The role requires a radiologic technology degree from an AMA/JRCERT-accredited program, a minimum of one year of experience, and current ARRT registration with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in radiology required.
• Licenses: ARRT (Radiography) and BLS required at hire; ARDMS/VI/CI certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competence and proficiency in performing all interventional radiology procedures on patients of all age groups.
• Positions patient, selects the correct protocol, and utilizes all required equipment.
• Accurately follows imaging protocols and provides age-specific patient care.
• Adheres to Radiation Safety Policies and dose-reduction practices.
• Provides patient education and communications per standards.
• Assists with daily coordination of interventional procedures in proper sequence.
• Mentors students and junior technologists.
• Ensures department meets all regulatory requirements.
• Post-processes advanced imaging with Syngo Via and related tools.
• Positions patients and selects protocol for radiological exams as requested.
