Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to perform a wide range of imaging duties using angiography and related equipment. You will ensure accurate setup, image quality, and patient safety, supporting radiologists in diagnostic procedures.

Responsibilities include verifying orders, maintaining records in HIS/RIS/PACS, and assisting the team to optimize patient throughput while delivering compassionate care to diverse patient populations in a fast-paced hospital

Qualifications

• Graduation from an A.M.A. approved Radiologic Technology program; AS degree required, BS degree preferred.
• Experience: 1+ year in a hospital radiology department; complex IR imaging experience desirable.
• Licensure: RT(R) certification (ARRT); Connecticut license and CPR certification; VI credentials preferred.
• Skills: proficient in PACS/CT imaging, good organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate angiography and related imaging equipment to produce IR images.
• Set up angiographic equipment and select accession numbers from modality work lists.
• Produce high quality images for radiologist interpretation.
• Verify physician orders, ensure proper scheduling and completion in RIS.
• Maintain patient safety, restock supplies, and assist team to maximize throughput.
• Provide compassionate patient care and adhere to safety measures in the room.
