Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health seeks a Radiologic Technologist specialized in Interventional Radiology to perform a wide range of imaging procedures under supervision. You will ensure high-quality IR images for physician interpretation while adhering to safety and departmental policies.

Responsibilities include equipment setup, patient care, case scheduling, and collaboration with radiology staff, technologists, residents, and students.

Qualifications

• Graduation from AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
• AS degree required; BS degree preferred.
• ARRT RT(R) certification; Connecticut license and CPR beneficial.
• Vascular Interventional credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide variety of technical duties to ensure proper imaging using angiography.
• Produces high quality IR images for physician interpretation.
• Ensures supplies are available to maximize patient safety and efficiency.
• Maintains patient records in HIS, RIS, PACS and QA modules.
• Maintains professional attitude and supports team and throughput.
• Delivers compassionate patient care following age-specific standards.
• Uses safety measures including lead apron during fluoroscopy.
• Engages in teaching opportunities to share knowledge with others.
