Job summary

Atrium Health Pineville is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to assist in invasive Angio and interventional procedures in the Radiology Suite. You will perform surgical scrub and circulation duties, provide total patient care during and after procedures, and work in a dynamic, high-acuity environment.

The role requires ARRT certification in Radiology or RCIS and BLS, with on-call responsibilities and a Friday-Sunday night schedule.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology or RCIS registry required.
• BLS certification required.
• 1 year in diagnostic radiology and 1 year in Interventional Radiology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs specialized radiography and fluoroscopic coverage under physician direction.
• Explains procedures to patients and preps them for procedures.
• Obtains medications, radiopharmaceuticals, or contrast materials as directed.
• Circulates during procedures and ensures patient comfort.
• Provides supplies for diagnostic and therapeutic invasive procedures.
• Removes catheters/sheaths and applies pressure or clamp as appropriate.
• Reports hemodynamic data and charges promptly.
• Notifies leadership of equipment malfunctions.
