Job summary

Atrium Health Mercy in Charlotte, NC, is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to support invasive angiography and interventional procedures in the IR suite. The role includes surgical scrub, patient care during and after procedures, and prep for interventions.

Responsibilities include radiography and fluoroscopy under physician supervision, medication/contrast handling, data entry, and ensuring equipment operates properly while maintaining patient comfort.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technologist program completion required.
• BLS certification per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiography and fluoroscopic coverage of interventional procedures under a physician.
• Explains procedures to patients and preps them for procedures.
• Obtains medications, radiopharmaceuticals, or contrast materials as directed.
• Circulates during procedures and maintains patient comfort.
• Records hemodynamic and contrast media data accurately.
• Enters patient data into the system and communicates equipment issues.
