Job summary

Northstarir, an outpatient interventional radiology practice in Minnesota, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our IR team. The role focuses on sedation, patient care, and collaboration with physicians and staff.

You will perform pre-procedure assessments, IV placement, moderate sedation, intra- and post-procedure monitoring, and patient education in a fast-moving, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certification
• Experience with moderate sedation
• Procedural, IR, cath lab, ICU, ED, PACU, or other relevant acute-care experience
• Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving environment
• Prior interventional radiology experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate with strong procedural or critical-care experience.

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Interventional Radiology team. Due to extraordinary growth in our practice and continued expansion of our minimally invasive treatment programs, we are adding to an already outstanding clinical team.

This is an opportunity to practice nursing in a highly specialized, patient-focused environment alongside interventional radiologists, advanced practice providers, technologists, nurses, and clinical staff who genuinely enjoy working together.

The Role

The IR Sedation RN plays an integral role throughout the procedural experience, including:

• Pre-procedure assessment and patient preparation
• IV placement and medication administration
• Moderate sedation administration and monitoring
• Intra-procedural patient monitoring and documentation
• Post-procedure recovery and discharge
• Patient and family education
• Emergency preparedness and response
• Collaboration with physicians, APPs, technologists, and nursing staff to provide an exceptional patient experience

Our practice performs a diverse and expanding range of minimally invasive, image-guided procedures in an outpatient setting.
