Job summary

IR Centers is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) in Interventional Radiology to assess patients and develop plans of care for procedures with moderate sedation in an outpatient setting. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care across all age groups.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid Registered Nurse license to practice in this state.
• BLS certification; ACLS certification or willingness to obtain.
• English language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients and procedure rooms for radiology procedures, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Explains procedures to patients, addressing concerns, and ensuring patient confidentiality (HIPAA).
• Supports and drives quality patient care by implementing facility-specific action plans and goals.
• Performs tasks with considerable judgment, providing assistance to team members and offering solutions.
• Ensures medical records are accurate, complete, and compliant with regulations, performing regular audits.
• Maintains the cleanliness and safety of the facility, inspecting equipment, recommending repairs, and managing supplies efficiently.
• Assists with hazardous waste disposal and upholds environmental standards.
• Attends meetings, collaborates with physicians, and addresses their concerns.
• Participates in the development of radiography policies and supports regulatory surveys.
• Administers moderate sedation during procedure.
• Conducts pre-op and follow-up calls.
