Job summary

NorthstarIR in Minnesota is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our growing outpatient IR practice. You will work alongside interventional radiologists, nurses, and other clinicians to deliver high-quality image-guided care in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include preparing the procedure room, scrubbing, operating fluoroscopic imaging equipment, supporting vascular access and endovascular procedures, and maintaining sterile technique and radiation safety

Qualifications

• ARRT certification and Minnesota licensure required.
• Interventional radiology/cath lab experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of sterile technique and radiation safety.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Prepare the procedure room, equipment, supplies, and sterile field.
• Scrub and assist during interventional procedures.
• Operate fluoroscopic and imaging equipment.
• Support vascular access, angiography, embolization, and other image-guided procedures.

Due to extraordinary growth and continued expansion of our minimally invasive treatment programs, we are seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our clinical team.

This is an opportunity for a technologist who enjoys procedural medicine, advanced imaging, and working closely with physicians to become an important part of a highly collaborative and growing IR practice.

The Role

Our IR Technologists work directly alongside interventional radiologists, nurses, advanced practice providers, and other clinical team members to deliver high-quality image-guided care.

Responsibilities may include:

• Preparing the procedure room, equipment, supplies, and sterile field
• Scrubbing and assisting during interventional procedures
• Operating fluoroscopic and imaging equipment
• Supporting vascular access, angiography, embolization, and other image-guided procedures
• Maintaining sterile technique and radiation-safety standards
• Managing procedural supplies, devices, and inventory
• Participating in quality improvement and procedural workflow development
• Working collaboratively with the entire clinical team to provide an exceptional patient experience

We’re looking for someone who is technically excellent, dependable, adaptable, and excited about working in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred qualifications include:

• ARRT certification and applicable Minnesota licensure
• Interventional radiology, cath lab, vascular, or procedural imaging experience
• Strong understanding of sterile technique and radiation safety
• Experience with angiography and endovascular procedures
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to anticipate procedural needs and work closely with physicians and nursing staff
• Interest in learning new techniques, devices, and procedures

Experienced IR technologists are strongly encouraged to apply. We may also consider candidates with strong related procedural experience who are interested in developing further within interventional radiology.
