Job summary

Stanford Health Care – Tri-Valley in Pleasanton, CA seeks an Interventional Platform Scheduler to handle scheduling and secretarial duties for Interventional Services across OR, Endoscopy, Cath Lab, and Interventional Radiology.

You will create procedural cases, coordinate with physicians and clinic schedulers, verify insurance authorizations, and maintain a conflict-free daily schedule; cross-train and support workflow improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Terminology preferred.
• Minimum of two years procedural scheduling experience.
• One year surgery scheduling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical and procedural cases in EMR systems.
• Monitor grids, durations, room availability, and block utilization.
• Coordinate OR assignments with nurses and management.
• Verify insurance authorizations before scheduling.
• Communicate schedule changes and delays to stakeholders.
• Cross-train across scheduling functions per hospital policies.
• Maintain conflict-free surgery schedule and participate in daily look-ahead meetings.
• Obtain, scan and upload documentation into EMR.
