Job summary

Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group in California seeks a Nationally Certified Radiology Physician Assistant (RPA) for a full-time Interventional Radiology role. On-the-job training will be provided; 1–3 years radiology experience preferred.

RPAs use ultrasound, X-ray/fluoroscopy, CT, and MRI to diagnose and treat patients, under supervision. Responsibilities include evaluating new IR consults, assisting with procedures, educating patients, and reporting findings.

Qualifications

• Must be detail oriented and able to obtain patient information accurately.
• Compassionate care for patients during procedures and follow-up.
• Good physical stamina for long hours in OR settings.
• Excellent communication with patients and healthcare teams.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to interpret basic imaging, building proficiency over time.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate IR consults and triage new cases.
• Assist interventional radiologists with invasive and non-invasive procedures.
• Educate patients on upcoming procedures and prepare them for what to expect.
• Assist in post-procedure follow-up and ensure patient safety.
• Evaluate image quality and report findings to the supervising radiologist.
• Work under supervision with potential for graded autonomy after training.
