Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, Department of Radiology, seeks a Nationally Certified Radiology Physician Assistant for a full-time Interventional Radiology role in California. The RPA will work under the supervision of an interventional radiologist, performing initial evaluations and assisting with procedures.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years radiology experience preferred; on-the-job training provided.
• Detail oriented for patient info, positioning, IV contrast injections, and operator control.
• Excellent communication with patients who may be stressed about procedures.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good physical stamina to stand for long hours in operating rooms.
• Ability to interpret basic imaging and report findings to radiology staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist interventional radiologists with invasive and non-invasive procedures.
• Evaluate image quality and report findings to supervising radiologist.
• Educate patients on upcoming procedures and what to expect.
• Initial evaluation and triage of new IR consults.
• Follow-up with patients after procedures.
