Job summary

Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group's Department of Radiology seeks a Nationally Certified Radiology Physician Assistant (RPA) for a full-time Interventional Radiology role in California. The RPA will support IR procedures and patient education under supervision, with autonomy increasing after training.

Minimum 1–3 years of radiology experience preferred; on-the-job training will be provided. We are a California employer with residency requirements for start date and competitive benefits

Qualifications

• Detail orientation for patient information, positioning, IV contrast, and machine adjustments.
• Compassionate patient care during procedures and outcomes.
• Stamina to stand long hours in OR environments.
• Excellent communication with stressed patients about procedures and expectations.
• Ability to work independently and within a radiology team.
• Basic ability to interpret imaging with ongoing development in the department.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and triage new IR consults under supervision of an interventional radiologist.
• Assist radiologists with invasive and non-invasive IR procedures.
• Educate patients about upcoming procedures and post-procedure care.
• Provide follow-up after procedures and evaluate image quality.
• Report imaging findings to the supervising radiologist.
• Operate with graded autonomy after training period.
