Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) for per diem daytime shifts at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. The role requires NJ RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, IV therapy certification within 90 days, and 1–2 years of IR experience. EPIC EMR experience is preferred.

Per diem with a minimum of 3 shifts per month and seasonal holiday coverage. The RN will perform assessments, administer medications, support physicians, and educate patients while maintaining high

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and IV therapy/venipuncture certifications required within 90 days of hire.
• Associate degree in nursing required; bachelor's preferred.
• 1–2 years Interventional Radiology experience expressed.
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system and inpatient documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer safe, evidence-based medications and treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to coordinate care.
• Provide education to patients and families for informed decisions.
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to team communication.
