Job summary

Southern Illinois Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care for SIH patients in a hospital setting. You will assess patients, develop and implement care plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure compassionate, high-quality care.

The role requires an active Illinois RN license, current CPR/BLS and ACLS certifications, and flexibility to float to other SIH units within competency. Strong clinical judgment and patient advocacy are essential.

Qualifications

RN licensure and current CPR/BLS/ACLS certifications required.
Strong clinical knowledge and critical thinking expected.

Responsibilities

Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
Establish a compassionate environment to provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patient and families.
Plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care with the multidisciplinary team.
Provide health teaching and counseling to promote optimal health.
Demonstrate clinical judgment and report changes in patient condition promptly.
Complete accurate documentation in the patient medical record.
Contribute to policies to support patient safety and quality of care.
Supervise and delegate to licensed practical nurses and/or unlicensed staff as appropriate.
Advocate for the patient by collaborating with health professionals.
Complete required education, competencies, and licensure on time.
Float to other SIH nursing units within competency level.
