Job summary

Palmetto General Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide professional and technical nursing care to adults and geriatrics undergoing Interventional Radiology procedures. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure age-appropriate care and effective coordination of pre/post-procedure processes.

The role requires strong assessment skills, English communication, and flexibility to participate in 24-hour call.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved nursing educational program as defined by the NCSBN.
• Minimum of two (2) years experience in acute care facility in ICU/ED or with experience in Radiology Special Procedures preferred.
• Advanced physical assessment skills.
• Visual and hearing senses must be adequate to assess/detect changes in human physiological condition.
• Effective oral and written communication skills in the English language.

Responsibilities

• Delivers professional nursing care to adult and geriatric IR patients.
• Assists Radiologists and monitors during interventional radiology procedures.
• Coordinates pre- and post-procedure care with the Special Procedures team.
• Participates in 24-hour departmental emergency call.
• Maintains department equipment readiness and documentation.
