Job summary

Palmetto-General-Hospital in Florida is seeking an IR Tech Radiologic Technologist to perform all diagnostic radiographic procedures, including OR and portable exams, to a high quality level. You will work under Radiologists and report to the Supervisor of Imaging.

The role requires RCIS completion and Basic Science exams, two years interventional lab experience, and proficiency with HIS, RIS, and PACS systems. Strong communication and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Certified Cardiovascular technologist program or equivalent.
• Training in AMA approved school and meets requirements for registry by the ARRT -Preferred
• Computer skills with knowledge of HIS, RIS and PACS systems.
• Successful completion of the RCIS and Basic Science exams.
• Two years Interventional Lab experience required.
• Visual and hearing senses must be adequate to assess/detect changes in human physiological condition
• Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, stressful environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform all diagnostic radiographic procedures including OR and portable exams.
• Work under supervision of Radiologists and report to Supervisor of Imaging.
• Access and utilize the hospital and radiology information systems including PACS.
• Assist patients on and off stretchers and wheelchairs as needed.
