Job summary

Palmetto-General-Hospital in Florida is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Interventional Radiology. The role delivers professional nursing care to adult and geriatric patients, collaborates with radiology and multidisciplinary teams, and participates in 24-hour call coverage.

The ideal candidate holds an active Florida RN license with BLS and ACLS, and has strong assessment and communication skills. Prior ICU/ED or radiology procedures experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved nursing educational program as defined by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN).
• Minimum of two (2) years experience in acute care facility in ICU/ED or with experience in Radiology Special Procedures preferred.
• Advanced physical assessment skills.
• Visual and hearing senses must be adequate to assess/detect changes in human physiological condition.
• Effective oral and written communication skills in the English language.

Responsibilities

• Delivers professional and technical nursing care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing Interventional Radiology procedures.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care.
• Maintains department equipment and documents readiness of code cart and reaction box.
• Assists Radiologists during Interventional Radiology procedures and coordinates pre/post care.
