Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Registered Radiologic Technologist to support the Heart & Vascular Institute. The role involves assisting physicians in invasive cardiology and radiology procedures, patient care, and maintaining a sterile field.

You will participate in on-call duties and work shifts as needed to meet department needs. The position offers a sign-on bonus and requires ARRT registration, licensure, and ACLS within 1 year.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology.
• Registered in Radiography (ARRT) and licensed Radiologic Technologist (IEMA).
• ACLS certification within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Administers contrast material per physician's request and responds to hypersensitivity or allergic reactions.
• All functions and duties performed under supervision of a physicist or dosimetrist.
• Assists with inventory and supplies; checks patient and chart identification and treatment position.
• Documents accurately according to policies; explains procedures to patients and ensures comfort, safety, and confidentiality.
• Performs essential Radiologic Technologist duties and participates in on-call or variable shifts.
