Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Registered Radiologic Technologist to join the Heart & Vascular Institute. The role involves assisting physicians in invasive cardiology and radiology procedures, maintaining sterile fields, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

You will participate in on-call duties and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care. The position offers a sign-on bonus and requires ARRT registration, state licensure where applicable, and ACLS within one year.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
• Registered in Radiography (R) with ARRT.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Radiography (IEMA) where applicable.
• ACLS certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administers contrast material as directed; monitors for hypersensitivity.
• Functions under supervision of a physicist or dosimetrist.
• Assists with inventory and supplies.
• Verifies patient and chart identity; documents procedures accurately.
• Explains procedures to patients and ensures comfort and confidentiality.
• Performs essential radiologic technologist duties and on-call shifts as needed.
