Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking an imaging specialist responsible for performing diverse imaging procedures, including fluoroscopy and X-ray, to support diagnosis and treatment planning for ER, surgical, inpatient, and outpatient populations. The role requires competency in patient care and the ability to communicate test details clearly to patients and families.

You will prepare patients and areas for imaging, assist in IR procedures, and operate equipment while maintaining safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• Strong patient communication using AIDET to identify needs and establish rapport.
• Ability to instruct patients and families about tests and manage tolerance for exams.
• Experience assisting in imaging procedures including fluoroscopy and X-ray.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging procedures (fluoro and X-ray) for ER, surgical, inpatient and outpatient cases.
• Prepare patient/area and position during IR procedures; adjust equipment to set exposure factors.
• Maintain imaging records and comply with OSHA, TJC, TDH and ACR requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers and physicists to optimize equipment performance.
• Ensure safety, infection control, and adherence to department policies.
