Job summary

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center is seeking an Imaging Services Technologist to perform fluoroscopy and X-ray imaging for ER, surgical, inpatient and outpatient care.

Responsibilities include patient communication with AIDET, preparation for IR procedures, safety adherence, and maintaining imaging records. Candidates should have AMA-approved radiologic program credentials and up to 3 years of experience; the department offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• AMA-approved radiologic technology program required (vocational diploma).
• Six months to one year in the interventional field required.
• Associates degree in radiologic technology preferred or required.
• 0–3 years of Imaging Services Technologist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes AIDET when communicating with patients to identify service requirements and establish rapport.
• Instructs patients and families about the test and assesses tolerance.
• Prepares patient/area for IR procedure by positioning and adjusting equipment.
• Protects patients and staff by following safety, infection-control and radiation policies.
• Collaborates with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal equipment operation.
• Maintains imaging records according to department policies and timely interpretation.
• Assists leadership in maintaining policies and records for OSHA, TJC, TDH and ACR compliance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
