Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking an Imaging Services Technologist to perform fluoroscopy and X-ray imaging for ER, surgical, inpatient and outpatient patients. The role requires competency in imaging procedures, safe operation of equipment, and accurate record-keeping.

The candidate should have AMA-approved radiologic technology training, 0–3 years of imaging experience, and familiarity with interventional procedures.

Qualifications

• AMA-approved radiologic technology program completed.
• Six months to one year in interventional radiology preferred.
• Associates degree in radiologic technology completed.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes AIDET when communicating with patients to identify service requirements and establish rapport.
• Instructs patients/families regarding tests and assesses ability to tolerate exams.
• Prepares patient/area for IR procedures and positions patient for optimal exposure.
• Protects patients and employees by following safety, infection-control and radiation policies.
• Collaborates with engineers/physicists to ensure equipment operates optimally.
• Maintains imaging records in designated system per department standards and timelines.
• Assists leadership in maintaining policies and records for governing bodies (OSHA, TJC, TDH, ACR).
• Other relevant duties as assigned.
