Albany Medical College is seeking an Interventional Pulmonologist to join its Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. You will provide care for complex pulmonary diseases and perform advanced bronchoscopy procedures in a collaborative academic setting.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Interventional Pulmonary Fellowship trained and AABIP board certified or eligible.
• Experience with procedures such as EBUS, navigational bronchoscopy, rigid bronchoscopy, airway stenting, and management of complex airway disease.
• Interest in an academic medical center environment, including education, research, and/or quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical care to patients with complex pulmonary and airway disorders.
• Perform advanced diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy procedures including EBUS, navigational bronchoscopy, robotic bronchoscopy, rigid bronchoscopy, airway stenting, tumor debulking and ablation, and management of central airway obstruction.
• Evaluate and manage patients with complex pleural disease and perform advanced pleural procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including pulmonology, thoracic surgery, oncology, radiology, and pathology.
• Educate and mentor residents, fellows, medical students, and advanced practice providers.
