University of Mississippi Medical Center is seeking a Physician Assistant for Cardiology-Structural Interventional to provide comprehensive patient care under physician supervision. The role includes diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatments to support cardiology patients on an on-site basis.

Requirements include graduation from an approved PA program, NCCPA PANCE certification, and Mississippi licensure before hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved physician assistant program.
• Obtain PANCE certification (NCCPA).
• Licensure by the Mississippi State Board of Medical Licensure prior to hire.

Responsabilités

• Conducts complex, standardized patient care procedures.
• Evaluates medical complaints and provides appropriate treatment.
• Records health history, progress notes, diagnostic results, and treatment data.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests (x-ray, ECG, labs).
• Prescribes therapy and medications per treatment plan.
• Educates patients and families on disease processes, therapies, and preventative care.
• Complies with safety, infection control, and environmental requirements.
• Serves on committees or projects to improve patient care or work areas.
• Offers expert guidance to clinic staff and mentors new providers.
