Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center’s Structural Heart team seeks a Physician Assistant to join a growing unit, collaborating with physicians to plan and coordinate care across inpatient consult, post-procedure, and outpatient settings.

Requirements include NYS PA licensure, NCCPA certification, and graduation from an accredited PA program; interventional cardiology experience preferred; no nights/weekends; new graduates welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and NYS PA licensure required.
• NCCPA certification.
• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Experience in interventional cardiology/cardiology preferred.
• Available without night or weekend shifts.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.
• OHS Fit Test and OHS Annual Assessment completed.

Responsibilities

• Review patient histories and conduct physical exams.
• Coordinate care with physicians and the health care team.
• Document care and patient information in NYHRE’s EHR.
• Develop teaching plans and long-term patient care strategies.
• Ensure medical orders and supplies meet standards.
• Collaborate with RN, CNM, MD and Care Manager for treatment plans.

Education

Bachelor’s degree and NYS PA license

NCCPA certified

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program
