Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Staff Nurse Inpatient for the Interventional Procedures Lab at Huntley Hospital. The role supports the cath lab, interventional radiology, and electrophysiology services with 36 hours per week from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with on-call requirements and weekend rotations.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN with IL RN licensure, BLS, and experience in cath lab, ICU, ED, or procedural nursing.

Qualifications

• BSN and IL RN license; BLS; strong interpersonal skills; collaboration and analytics.
• ADN acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of employment.
• Experience in cath lab, IR, EP, ICU, ED preferred; trauma and procedural nursing helpful.
• CCRN/RCIS/CV-BC certifications are a plus; EPIC EMR experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data; develops and implements patient care plans; evaluates progress.
• Directs care and utilizes any assistants appropriately in direct nursing tasks.
• Collaborates with patients, families, physicians, and staff; documents plan and communications.
• Participates in governance, committees, and unit projects.
• Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions and updates care plans.
• Uses evidence and research findings to guide nursing practice.
