Job summary

Vista Medical Center in Illinois is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team. You will support diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures and provide high-quality patient care in a busy community hospital.

The role requires ACLS certification, 1 year in a cardiology cath lab (ICU welcome), and proficiency in rhythm interpretation and moderate sedation. You will assist with device procedures including pacemaker implantation and manage peri-procedural care.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year experience in a cardiology cath lab; ICU experience preferred.
ACLS certification required.
Experience interpreting advanced cardiac rhythms and moderate sedation required.

Responsibilities

Assist cardiologists with diagnostic and interventional catheterizations.
Provide nursing care in the Cath Lab and interventional radiology as needed.
Monitor patients for improvements or complications and administer medications including moderate sedation.
Interpret 12-lead EKGs and manage cardiac medications.
Assist with device procedures such as pacemaker implantation as trained.
Operate and understand devices including IABP, rotablators, AngioJets and related tools.
