Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to assist with invasive cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab under supervision. The role requires an associate or bachelor’s degree, RCIS or ARRT with TX RT(R), and current ACLS.

You will monitor, scrub, and circulate, operate imaging equipment, and support patient transport and lab setup. The position offers a dynamic team in a high-acuity environment, with opportunities for professional growth and continued education

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree, science emphasis or commensurate healthcare experience.
• Current licenses and/or certifications as required for the role.
• Current ACLS certification is required.
• RCIS certification within six months of hire or ARRT TX RT(R) equivalent.
• ARRT and TX RT(R) acceptable in lieu of RCIS.

Responsibilities

• Assists in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Assists physician as a monitor tech during cath lab procedures, interpreting basic and advanced dysrhythmia and EKGs and operating the physiologic recorder.
• Assists physician with most procedures as a scrub tech and operates imaging equipment under physician direction.
• Assists physician as a circulator, monitors patient status, hands supplies, and operates imaging equipment as directed.
• Assists with transport of patient to and from department.
• Cleans and stocks cath lab.
• Demonstrates knowledge of medications and dosages used.
• Demonstrates theoretical knowledge of procedures and orders supplies for cath lab.
