Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking an Intervention Specialist for Broadway Academy at Willow in Cleveland, OH. The role focuses on supporting students with IEP goals and delivering inclusive instruction in a rigorous, nurturing environment.

You will collaborate with teachers, conduct assessments, write IEPs, and communicate regularly with families to promote student growth and social-emotional development.

Qualifications

• Current state license.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full room inclusion or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model.
• Growth-focused coaching with frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Outlook).
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and contribute to a team.
• Ability to pass FBI/BCI background checks.
• Experience working in a multi-cultural setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to interpret student abilities and plan intervention strategies.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and write behavior plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write IEP goals and objectives.
• Communicate regularly with families about student growth and progress.
• Participate in planning and implementing non-instructional activities such as events and field trips.
