Case Preparatory Academy in Akron, OH is seeking an Intervention Specialist to support students with IEP goals in a collaborative, inclusive setting. You will work with classroom teachers to implement intervention strategies and adapt curricula to meet diverse needs.

The role emphasizes data-driven instruction, behavior support plans, IEP meetings, and ongoing family communication while fostering a growth-minded environment aligned with ACCEL Schools' mission.

Qualifications

• Current state license.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full inclusion or co-teaching models.
• Able to thrive in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations and progress checks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers to interpret student abilities/disabilities and adapt instruction.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and implement behavior plans.
• Lead and document IEP meetings and goals.
• Engage families with regular updates on student progress.
• Support planning/participation in non-instructional activities.
