Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking an Intervention Specialist at University of Cleveland Preparatory School in Cleveland, Ohio. The role focuses on supporting students with an IEP, implementing behavior plans, and collaborating with teachers to meet academic and social-emotional goals.

Ideal candidates hold a current state license, have experience in inclusion/co-teaching models, and are proficient in MS Word/Outlook.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current state license.
• Experience in inclusion or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) is required.
• Excellent organization and time management skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with classroom teachers to interpret abilities and disabilities and assist in intervention strategies.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and write behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write IEP goals and objectives.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth.
• Participate in planning and implementation of non-instructional activities.
