ACCEL Schools is seeking an Intervention Specialist for Cornerstone Academy - High School in Westerville, Ohio, focused on supporting educational and behavioral goals for students, especially those with IEPs. The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, data-driven planning, and culturally responsive instruction.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full room inclusion or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model.
• Growth-focused coaching with frequent observations, debriefs and progress monitoring.
• High quality written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks (FBI/BCI).
• Experience in a multi-cultural setting preferred.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to interpret student abilities and disabilities and modify intervention strategies.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write IEP goals and objectives.
• Communicate regularly with families about academic and social-emotional growth.
• Plan and participate in non-instructional activities such as social events and field trips.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
