Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in inclusion/Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model.
• Comfort with growth-focused coaching based on observation and progress monitoring.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Excellent organization and time management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks (FBI/BCI).
• Experience in a multi-cultural setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support educational and behavioral goals with focus on students with IEPs.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to interpret abilities and disabilities for intervention strategies.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and write behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write IEP goals.
• Meet goals related to student achievement and school culture.
• Use research-based best practices in daily planning and instruction.
• Incorporate culturally responsive teaching into daily lessons and interactions.
• Serve as advisor for a designated group of students.
• Communicate regularly with families about academic and social-emotional growth.
• Participate in non-instructional activities like social events and field trips.
