Job summary

Foundation Academy in Mansfield, Ohio, part of ACCEL Schools, is seeking an Intervention Specialist to support students with IEP goals in a high-engagement learning environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration with classroom teachers, diagnostic assessments, behavior planning, and regular family communication, within an EK-8 setting that champions academic rigor and social-emotional development.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full room inclusion or Co-Teaching.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to work in a growth-focused coaching environment.
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks.

Responsibilities

• Work with teachers to interpret abilities and disabilities and adjust intervention strategies.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write IEP goals and objectives.
• Communicate regularly with families about student growth.
• Participate in planning non-instructional activities.
