Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a Georgia PSC-approved college is required.
• Valid PSC-approved teaching certificate is required.
• CTAE endorsements required for the applicable field.
• Content certification areas must align with the certificate.
• GACE Education Ethics Assessment must be passed.
• Minimum two years of verifiable industrial work experience (CTAE) required.

Responsibilities

• Teaches grade-appropriate, subject-specific curriculum.
• Develops and implements lesson plans for in-person and virtual learning.
• Communicates with district personnel, students, and parents by phone, email, or video.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and development.
• Uses technology to deliver instruction and collaborate with students.
• Assesses and documents progress, attendance, and performance.
• Supervises student behavior per the Student Code of Conduct.
• Participates in conferences with parents, students, counselors, teachers, and administrators.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including materials ordering and professional development.
• Directs paraprofessionals or instructional aides when needed.
