Harris Health System, Inc. in Texas seeks an Interpreter to provide oral interpretations and written translations in Spanish and English, maintaining accurate records and supporting limited-English patients, visitors and guests. Interpretations will occur in person and by phone as business needs dictate.
Qualifications include a High School Diploma, bilingual proficiency, and the ability to pass a language proficiency exam. Healthcare interpretation experience is preferred.

The Interpreter provides oral interpretations and/or written translations in specified languages(s) and maintains accurate and timely records of all interpretation encounters. Interpreters identify and assist in fulfilling the psychosocial needs of the limited-English speaking patients, visitors and guests. Interpretations will be conducted in person and over the phone as business needs dictate.
