Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. invites applications for an Internship in Supplier Quality focused on Seat commodities.

The role supports ramp-up activities at Lear, coordinates PV samples, and assists SQE in daily tasks within the Interior department. The program emphasizes hands-on quality work and cross‑functional collaboration in a manufacturing setting. Paid internship with an hourly rate of $18, visa costs coverage, and a $700 housing bonus.

Qualifications

• Student in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration or related area.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote) and basic data handling.

Responsibilities

• Support ramp up of model year seats at supplier during production trials to SOP.
• Drive quality topics to closure, create summaries and report progress.
• Coordinate sample timing for Product Validation and shipping samples.
• Assist SQE staff in daily and project tasks.
• Assist in improving overall product quality through smaller improvement projects.

Essential Functions:

• Support ramp up of Model year vehicles at seat supplier Lear from Production trials (PT1-3) to start of production (SOP)
• Drive quality related open topic lists to closure, create management summaries and report out on project progress
• Sample coordination including timing tracking for Product Validation (PV) samples and shipping samples
• Support Supplier Quality Engineers (SQE) of the Interior department in daily and project tasks

Opportunity to improve overall product quality with smaller projects (e.g. Improvement of seat protective foil)

Other Regular Daily Tasks:

• Support meetings with German counterparts from Research and Development (RD) and supplier
• KPI creation and follow up on open topics
• Report creation (Start extracts, PIA overviews, etc.) for supplier quality team

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position.

Education:

Student in: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration or in a related area, and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc.:

• Microsoft Office (Power Point, Excel, OneNote)

Mercedes Quality and Development processes and tools (START, PIA, etc.)

Preferred Start Date:

• January 2027

Requirements:

• Currentlyenrolled in University or in a gap year between Bachelor'sand Master’s degree
• Studies outside of the U.S.A
• A minimum of 3semesters of studies in relevant field of study
• Available for a minimum of 6months
