Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. in Alabama invites applications for an Internship in Supply Chain Management – Project Management Specialist (International Student).

The paid internship offers an hourly rate of $18, starts January 2027, and includes a $700 housing bonus. Visa costs coverage is provided, with six months of hands-on experience in MRP, PMI, and KPI reporting. You'll develop, update, and report KPIs for parts supply to production and learn how MBUSI's global organization

Qualifications

• Education: Student in Supply Chain Management or related area.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; PowerBI and SAP are advantages.
• Enrolled in university and available for 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and report KPI's to provide visibility and tracking of supply of parts to production.
• Learn how MBUSI's global organization coordinates supply chain activities across departments.
• Assist MRPs with MRP and Project Management tasks; lead meetings to track KPIs.

Essential Functions

Develop, update, and report out KPI's to provide visibility and tracking of important topics related to the supply of parts to our production.

Gain invaluable knowledge about supply chain processes revolving around series production.

Learn how multiple departments within the global Daimler organization play into the "big picture" of supply chain

Other regular daily tasks

Learn valuable time management skills, as well as how information flows through an organization to ensure all stakeholders are aware of the current situation.

Learn the level of work that is expected to succeed in an organization such as MBUSI.

Assist the Material Requirements Planning group with both MRP and Project Management tasks.

Lead meetings with the MRPs to ensure KPIs are being tracked and investigated/fixed.

Qualifications

Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position.

Education:

Student in Supply Chain Management orin a related area, and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills)
• PowerBI is an advantage
• SAP knowledge is an advantage

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in University or in a gap year between Bachelor'sand Master’s degree
• Studies outside of the U.S.A(we are not accepting applications from students who are currently studying in the U.S.A)
• A minimum of 3semesters of studies in relevant field of study
• Available for 6 months
