Job summary

Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. in Alabama offers an Internship in Supplier Quality for international students. The role supports supplier industrialization during launches, monitors readiness, and assists with KPI reporting and risk assessments.

The program is paid at $18 per hour, with visa cost coverage and a $700 housing bonus. Enrolled university students with 3+ semesters and eligibility to study abroad are invited to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Experience with data analysis and quality processes.
• Familiarity with quality tools (8D, Fishbone, 5 Why, FMEA).
• Proficient in data visualization tools such as Power BI.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support supplier industrialization during new vehicle launches.
• Monitor supplier readiness and milestones throughout development.
• Assist with supplier performance tracking and KPI reporting.
• Participate in supplier risk assessments and follow-up.
• Prepare management presentations and executive summaries.
• Develop and improve digital reporting and dashboards.
• Update supplier readiness and project tracking reports.
• Take meeting minutes and capture action items.
• Support Quality engineers on day-to-day tasks.
• Assist data collection and reporting for management reviews.
• Participate in cross-functional project meetings and workshops.

Essential functions

Support supplier industrialization activities during new vehicle launches

Monitor supplier readiness and milestone achievement throughout the development process

Assist with supplier performance tracking and KPI reporting

Participate in supplier risk assessments and follow-up activities

Support preparation of management presentations and executive summaries

Support development and improvement of digital reporting and dashboard tools

Other regular daily tasks

Update supplier readiness and project tracking reports

Prepare meeting minutes and action item follow-up

Support Quality engineers on day to day tasks

Support data collection and reporting for management reviews

Participate in cross-functional project meetings and workshops

Qualifications

Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineeringor in a related area, and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in University or in a gap year between Bachelor'sand Master’s degree
• Studies outside of the U.S.A(we are not accepting applications from students who are currently studying in the U.S.A)
• A minimum of 3semesters of studies in relevant field of study
• Available for a minimum of 6months
